Putting a dark song to a happy, catchy beat that many kids are going to listen to may have been the point of the song. Get the kids drawn in with the beat, but then make them really think about what our society has come to with the lyrics. I hope this song has stirred conversation amongst parents with their children, or at least made children think about the "uncool" kids at school, and maybe how they could try to connect with them on another level. All it takes is one to reach out to that "loner" to make a difference.

Or maybe it's just not that deep and I'm over thinking it.Theresa Mahoneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10709965543595065306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8063731082086337074.post-40817577896867165442013-09-30T12:36:46.381-05:002013-09-30T12:36:46.381-05:00Yeah, I see what you mean. I listened once, just ...Yeah, I see what you mean. I listened once, just for the beat and didn't look at the lyrics.
then went back to read the lyrics.
definite disconnect between the two.

Which is a shame because the beat is great. but knowing the subject matter, I can't just imagine myself dancing around to it now.
too bad the message is getting lost. could be powerful song.LA Botcharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09045857399816360885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8063731082086337074.post-88411607043036133652013-09-30T04:35:53.592-05:002013-09-30T04:35:53.592-05:00We do weights to that song in a body sculpt class ...We do weights to that song in a body sculpt class that I take every week.
