I'm April A-Z Free

For the past three years, I've jumped into the A-Z Challenge with both feet on the ground running. I'd organize myself by listing possible ideas for letters and would spend every Sunday completing a week's worth of posts. I'd stretched my funny bones throughout the alphabet and had fun, but visiting all of the other blogs got to be a bit much. I'd never have enough time, and April blogging would take over my life.

I am glad I decided to skip it this year. My focus has been geared toward projects that pay, such as Teacher Pay Teacher. I have a store with 329 products, and if I do what's planned, I'll have 331 products by tonight. Business -- that starts with the letter B -- has been great. I've also gotten into using Pinterest to advertise my products. I now have 135 followers, which is pretty good for a social media outlet that I ignored for years. All of this takes time, as well as the day job.

I also like to work on my novels, which unfortunately take the back burner all too often. But, I'll be able to dump the day job in another two years. Perhaps then, I'll go back to the A-Z Challenge. Maybe once I retire, I'll get the books published. Maybe I'll make so much from my creative products on TPT that I won't need my teacher's salary. Don't laugh. Deanna Jump has made over $2,000,000. I plan to join her.

Promoting Teachers Pay Teachers

Sorry I haven't been as good about visiting blogs this week. I just got my
Money Product Package
computer back from the shop and have a back log of Teacher Pay Teacher products to post. I've also learned a little more about how to promote my work in order to sell more. So far, March has started out fabulous, so maybe these tips work.

Besides posting new products, I've been collaborately pinning. I go to the Seller's Forum and pin other people's products on my board while they pin mine on there's. I've also taken some of my dollar products and joined them into bundled products. Since the site requires teachers to spend a minimum of $3 at a time, it helps to join products together.

Finally, I've added suggestions of
Spring Into Logic
other products for buyers to look into on the back pages of my products. I could spend a lot of time adding these things to my 300+ products, but right now this isn't my priority.

Although I enjoy visiting your blogs and writing on mine, I enjoy making money even more. Teachers Pay Teachers has paid for most of our groceries, my broken computer, and many other day to day items. It's great having the extra income.

If you are a teacher who makes a lot of items for your class, you should open up your own TPT store. It's easy and well worth your time. Just click on this link, https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Signup/referral:joycelansky and go for it!

As a side note, all of these product photos and links to them are new. I just made them either today or yesterday. Snow days rock!

I would love for you to visit my store and follow me at: Gifted-And-Talented-Materials-By-Joyce-Lansky or you may follow my Pinterest boards at: https://www.pinterest.com/joycelansky/

Thanks!
Joyce

Teachers Preparing For a New School Year

In Memphis, our school year kicked off on August 4th. I know it's early, but that's how things roll here in the south. Since the year's starting, whether we want it to or not, it might be a good time to pick up some unit plans from my Teachers Pay Teachers Store. I have 257 products in a variety of topics. What is consistent with most of my products is that they are geared toward the high end learner, since I've taught gifted and talented students since 1986.

Some of my most popular items are my novel studies. I've also created many math word problems, which relate to specific books. This is a great addition to any literacy study since the infamous "they" claim that we should blend multi-subjects into learning.

Furthermore, many of my math themed products break down skills to help teachers explain concepts so that kids may understand.

Writing is also a specialty of mine. As an aspiring author, I attend yearly writing conferences where I have picked up great tips and imbedded them in my teaching units. Not to mention, many of my units contain achievement testing type questions to help prepare kids for the big day.

I've made a lot of money on teachers pay teachers and believe you should, too. Opening my own teacher store was easy. I just downloaded products I'd already written and bingo. I have a store. You may use THIS LINK to get started.

Please stop by my store HERE and/or start your own store HERE. Have a great start to your school year.
