When someone sends pictures, the little icon says,
"Do you want to open as a Zip Drive?"
Here are some old family photos that arrived via zip.
My grandfather, grandmother, infant cousin, and mother (circa 1932). |
I think these are my mother's siblings (circa 1920). |
Unfortunately, none of the people in the photos are around to ask.
Great pictures! I loved discovering so old black and white photos of my grandparents a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on achieving the A-Z Challenge - we did it!
I love old black and white pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage photos!! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteVery nice pictures. Do the originals have names on the back? My family used to do that, write names on the back.
ReplyDeleteI just love old photos.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad has a ton of old family photos. He even has a written paper on his family. I just wish the same was true about my Mom's side.
Oh wow these are just precious! What a find!

That's really unfortunate, Joyce. Your mother must have been about the same as as mine, and she's the only one left from a large family.
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing pictures to have. They hold such history. I'm sorry no one is left from the pictures to ask about them.
ReplyDeleteMom was born in 1926. Her sister was seventeen years older than her. Uncle Sol - 13 years older, and Bennie was 11 years older. I'm pretty sure those are my aunt and uncles. I'm guessing early 1920s from their ages.
ReplyDeleteWow, so cool! I love hearing about stories from ancestors.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderfully clear they are. I'm sorry you can't identify them. But thanks for sharing Joyce!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Love looking at old b&w photos!
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteThey seem in very good condition, I just love looking at old photos of my family etc so interesting
ReplyDeleteHave a nostalgictastic week
It's great that you have such old photos in good quality digital format. That none of the family members in the photo are still around is sad, though.
ReplyDeleteI love these old photos. Very nostalgic. And I confess I still don't know how to open a zip drive LOL.
ReplyDeleteThese are cool pics to have!
ReplyDeleteMy grandma used to explain to me who was in the family pics. I loved going through them with her.
Ah! I love ol' daddy's expression, and you can see his daughter takes after him. So cute!

That is really cool. We have so few pictures of our parents parents. It's so sad.

I love old photos! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the rest of your day.
ReplyDeletethis is so awesome! Good quality old photos too =) #WW
ReplyDeleteVintage photos have such charm!
ReplyDeleteI have some old photos like that too, and I have no way anymore to know who is in them. It's kind of sad, but I'm still glad I have them.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy mother was also born in 1926, 11 years later than the oldest in her family. 17 years is quite an age spread.
ReplyDeleteI love old photos. Trying to imagine what life was like back then. Trying to see yourself in old relatives. So interesting.
ReplyDeleteOld photos always fascinate me! I find myself studying them for hours when I come across an old photo album!
ReplyDeleteCool photos, and what a family resemblance.
