#WW #AtoZ : Z is for Zip Drive

When someone sends pictures, the little icon says,
"Do you want to open as a Zip Drive?"
Here are some old family photos that arrived via zip.

My grandfather, grandmother, infant cousin, and mother (circa 1932).

I think these are my mother's siblings (circa 1920).
Unfortunately, none of the people in the photos are around to ask.

  1. Great pictures! I loved discovering so old black and white photos of my grandparents a few years ago.

Congratulations on achieving the A-Z Challenge - we did it!

  3. Very nice pictures. Do the originals have names on the back? My family used to do that, write names on the back.

  4. I just love old photos.

My Dad has a ton of old family photos. He even has a written paper on his family. I just wish the same was true about my Mom's side.

  5. That's really unfortunate, Joyce. Your mother must have been about the same as as mine, and she's the only one left from a large family.

  6. Those are amazing pictures to have. They hold such history. I'm sorry no one is left from the pictures to ask about them.

  7. Mom was born in 1926. Her sister was seventeen years older than her. Uncle Sol - 13 years older, and Bennie was 11 years older. I'm pretty sure those are my aunt and uncles. I'm guessing early 1920s from their ages.

  12. It's great that you have such old photos in good quality digital format. That none of the family members in the photo are still around is sad, though.

  14. These are cool pics to have!

My grandma used to explain to me who was in the family pics. I loved going through them with her.

  19. I have some old photos like that too, and I have no way anymore to know who is in them. It's kind of sad, but I'm still glad I have them.

  21. My mother was also born in 1926, 11 years later than the oldest in her family. 17 years is quite an age spread.
