  4. I really need to do that! I'm like Teresa though. They always have a hard time hitting my vein. Love your suggestion for an additional watermelon experiment on my blog! ;)

  6. Good for you! I was turned away the first time I tried because my veins are so bad. :(

  7. Way to go!
Unfortunately, there is no way i will be able to donate blood. First, there is my aversion to needles (which has gotten better after having 7 children). Then there are my small, deep veins. And, I just found out when I had my surgery a couple of weeks ago, I am anemic (which explains the fatigue, lightheadedness, and dizzyness).
At least now I have a better excuse than being afraid of needles.

  8. That's great that you can do that. I tried donating plasma once. They had trouble finding my vein. They didn't give me anything to eat or drink afterwards, and I passed out. I'm lame.

  9. Way to go! The girl's school has an annual blood drive, but I can't donate because of my autoimmune disorder. I always feel bad when I can't, but am glad there are others like you who can and do!

  10. I donated plasma and found myself so weak I decided this maybe was not a good thing for me to do. But I admire you for being able to.
