Liv just had a birthday party two weeks ago. We are so blessed with so many things. She decided that instead of presents, she wanted her guests to bring donations of toys and "fun stuff" for our local animal shelter. We went yesterday to drop it all off - and I could not have been more proud of my girl. :-)

MichelleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8063731082086337074.post-36514303068441768952011-06-01T10:44:02.802-05:002011-06-01T10:44:02.802-05:00I used to rescue dogs and horses in my former life...I used to rescue dogs and horses in my former life. Time and circumstance has taken me down a different path, but I miss those days of getting a phone call that started..."Hey, there's this dog..."Cyndihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11591479420869875715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8063731082086337074.post-45038609305020499602011-05-29T20:30:12.922-05:002011-05-29T20:30:12.922-05:00Honey Bear is one lucky dog! I'd do the same for cats, if I had my way. Sadly, I think the family would disown me if I added any more to our clan of five cats :)Mojo Writinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09457472397010589516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8063731082086337074.post-48937732799212027662011-05-29T09:59:01.299-05:002011-05-29T09:59:01.299-05:00Thanks for the visits. I'm getting used to the name, so it's not bothering me anymore.

We also have a 12½ year old golden who is not a rescue dog. He has an appointment at the vet to have multiple tests run. They suspect a heart condition. Scary. I'm very worried about him and how Millie would react if something happened, so we wanted to get a new golden while we still have our old one.Catch My Wordshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06338761214938263819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8063731082086337074.post-3447981155155476032011-05-29T09:29:01.825-05:002011-05-29T09:29:01.825-05:00Honey Bear is a beauty. Animals always know when you've taken them in after their time at a shelter, and they love you so much more because of it. We have two adopted shelter cats who are just the same way (though in their own feline, I'm-going-to-ignore-you way :) I hope Honey Bear and Millie get along. Good luck with the new pretty girl.

Rosie
East for Green EyesRosieChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07911305246379355484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8063731082086337074.post-33638360924661081402011-05-28T10:35:33.697-05:002011-05-28T10:35:33.697-05:00So glad to hear that Honey Bear found a happy home...So glad to hear that Honey Bear found a happy home with you. That's so heartwarming. So true that there are too many unwanted animals out there. We have seven pets, three cats, and four dogs, all strays or giveaways. I cannot see the point in buying a pet when there are so many unwanted ones crying out for a home.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
