On June 7, I had a hysterectomy and hospital stay.
I was in that bathroom every 1-2 hours thanks to a drippy IV. |
The nurses kept a board with medical notes. When they wrote morning blood test, I threatened to erase the red pen.
To keep from getting pneumonia, I had to do regular breathing exercises. Keep the blue ball bobbing. I messed up by leaving the torture device at the hospital--feeling raspy.
I received beautiful flowers.
I'm home, but our power had been off for a full day. We just got it back.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. My readers rock! If this were the school year, I'd milk it a full six weeks of laying in bed, reading, writing, and watching TV. Since it's not, I feel well enough to get in the car and go out on the town. No pain meds, no trouble walking--I feel better than anyone should less than a week after surgery. Three pin-head sized incisions is the way to go. Did I really have surgery because I'm not feeling that different anymore? Maybe a little more tired, but it too shall pass. However, where is the weight loss? Doc said the tumor was heavy, and my tummy is flatter, and I haven't eaten all that much, so why do I weigh the same as always? That's my biggest frustration right now.
ReplyDeletei hope you power stays on and that you are resting and feeling well--lovely flowers you had!
ReplyDeletespeedy recovery! thanks for linking up at Made by Renee - nice to make a new friend :)

ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better! Sucks to come back to a home with no electricity. I went on vacation for a week a few years ago and the night I got home, No Power! There had been a storm that day and we went 2 days with no electricity! I should have stayed on vacation.
