Musical Monday: Yes

 On those rare moments when I clean my house, I like to turn on the classic rock television station and listen to my favorite old tunes. I recently enjoyed this jewel that I hadn't heard in ages. Although I've been a Chess player since the age of five and am currently a sponsor of the Chess team, I just now made the obvious connection of this song to the game. Interesting what we discover when we actually listen to words.

    My Dad was a chess player. The only one who ever beat him was my son when he was about 5 years old. Go figure.

    Well I wouldn't have connected it either till now, amazing how sometimes we singalong but take no notice of the lyrics sometimes :-)

    The only way I would make a connection to this and chess is if I were to actually read the lyrics. Perhaps even then I may not get it, but to hear the words alone then I would not get it. Anywho, thanks for sharing the new-to-me tune! Great to see you on the dance floor with the 4M crew on Monday's Music Moves Me & thanks for the visit this morning.

    I have never heard this song before. How cool to find a song all about chess. I am not that good of chess player but enjoy playing it when given the chance.♥

    So interesting!! I always connected it to Alice In Wonderland (the actual book I mean, Through the Looking Glass) because... but then that makes total sense because the chess game in that book! I think there might actually be a direct quote???
    Yep - it's like a light just went off. LOL

    Plus I like that you can hear Give Peace a Chance playing just before the change.
