#MM Superstar!

After my last post, it's time to have a little fun with my readers. Talk about irony, here are songs from one of the great musicals, Jesus Christ Superstar.

I also love this little number from the same show.

Why stop now? I'm on a role.

  2. Ironically, we have the whole musical and listened to it in its entirety. That did not stop me from listening to this again. Excellent!

  4. Oh, I remember the controversy this musical introduced. I saw the film on broadcast TV as early teen and loved it. I never understood the hooplah all the old-timers were making over it, but I think it was the style of music that created the conflict with many. That dude in the first video has an amazing voice. He reminds me a bit of a young Tom Jones at times. The gal in the last video has a beautiful voice. I'm gonna have to look for the soundtrack now. Thanks for the memories through song, Joyce! ;)

  7. I do remember hearing the controversy over it, vaguely, but I wasn't familiar with it myself until now. :)

  9. I've only seen parts of it. I love musicals. Fiddler on the Roof was the last one we watched as a family. My kids, husband and I all got into it. We did watch it in 2 different settings because it is long for the littles.
