Interesting theme this week! I need to come up with songs about opposite topics. This one takes a little bit of thought, but here goes.
First Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mack lets the "Landslide" bring you down.
Next, Lionel Richie from The Commodores know a "Lady You Brings Me Up."
Since I've brought you down and up, there's one last way to send you. This one is miles from my usual post, but I know someone will enjoy Eddie Rabbit sending you "Any Which Way But Loose."
To celebrate our thirtieth wedding anniversary, Mitchell and I went to the FedEx Forum to see the Journey/Doobie Brothers concert. It started off with Dave Mason. This one song of his has been on my mind for the week. It makes me think of the election, too.
After Dave Mason, the Doobie Brothers took the stage. One of their songs sounded off, but for the most part, they are still wonderful.
The final act was Journey. They have a new lead singer who is a bundle of energy with a great voice. Unfortunately, their speakers were terrible! They blasted the music painfully loud with fuzzy distorted tones. The concert became torturous, so we left halfway through Journey, along with several hundred or a thousand other people.
