Six Sentence Story Extract

This week's six sentence writing prompt is Extract and I'm linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories.
"You want to extract an annoying, rotten orange stuck in your pipes and messing up the entire system?"
"That's rights. To make matters worse, it's covered in maggets."
"How did it get there?"
"Outside interference, but we are going through legal means to remove it."
"Good luck!"

Music Monday Moves Me with Animal Songs for Benny and an Aww Monday Moment

Just like I sing to Amber, I enjoy singing songs to my dog, Benny, too. I take songs and change the words. Unfortunately, I couldn't hold a tune even if you hot-glued it to my hands, so I'll have to post the actual songs. First up is a little ditty inwhich I sing, "Benny, Benny Boo, where are you?"
Next, is Benny and My Pets. You can guess what I'm going to post. Pets is plural because we used to have three pets. Unfortunately, Benny lost his two grandmotherly sisters early in 2022, so we adopted Amber.
Since the theme is animals, I put a frog in Elton John's song. Tee hee.
Third, here is an original, prize winning movie set to music, including "Puppy Love." What a treat! It was made during the pandemic and stars Benny as the pool boy. His beautiful sisters also had starring roles in The Bearded and the Restless.
And finally, here's a fourth because I've always sung this one to my dogs. If this isn't an Aww Monday, nothing is! Check out these adorable puppies in Harry Nilson's song.
Hey teachers, how about a set of dog logic puzzles for your class? If you look at the sudoku, Benny is the golden retriever puppy.

Six Word Sentences About the Abstract Energy and Wordie Wednesday AI Photos

This week's six sentence writing prompt is Abstract and I'm linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories.

My sixth grade teacher blocked the doorway home until we repeated the sentence, "Energy is the ability to do work." Energy is as abstract a concept as one can get as we think about it charging through our brains, consuming 20% of the body's power as it allows us to interpret various stimuli. Yet this odd concept within us cannot be created or destroyed but merely changes form. If this is the case, what happens to the energy within our brains when we die? It cannot be destroyed, so according to scientists, the energy within our brains remains after death. Call us ghosts, spirits, or whatever you want, but the energy within our brains sticks around forever!
Are you interested in ghosts? If so, check out this ghost story for middle school students. I wrote this story based upon my person experiences as a tour guide for Historical Haunts in Memphis. Although I've used AI for photos, I have NEVER used it in my writing!

Music Monday: 3 Doors Down Concert

My husband and I saw 3 Doors Down, Friday night. We arrived at the concert early and sat in our nose bleed seats. After my husband mentioned an extra $20 a ticket just to move up one section, an employee of the venue approached us and wanted to swap out our tickets for closer ones.
We agreed and found ourselves to be a few inches from the stage! Although the warmup band, Candlebox, had a large following, my husband and I were not fans. They seemed to do a lot more screaming than actual singing.
I filmed my favorite songs, but Blogger won't let me upload "When I'm Gone." I guess I enjoyed it and filmed too long. I didn't like Candlebox, but their short clip wouldn't post, either. They aren't worth searching and posting from Youtube.
It looked like "Let Me Go" uploaded, but you can see from above what my video looks like. 😢
I filmed too much of "It's Not My Time," so posted the official video. I videoed too little of "Be Like That" ;however, I found an interesting camera distortion. On stage, the guitarist by the lead singer is nowhere near him; however, on the screen, it looks like he's right next to him. Weird! Here is the official video.
Of course the band saved their biggest hit for last, so of course I recorded way to much of it to post. None-the-less, the band's official "Kryptonite" video is a lot of fun. Also, we got a little further away at the end. My husband's ears were hurting from sitting close. My left ear hurt because we had childish whistlers behind us. They whistled into my ear four times even though I'd told them to stop. It was not just annoying. I was painful!
This is a blog hop, so join in with your music videos!

Wordless Wednesday - Nice Villains

After my last post contained a resource about "Nice Villains," it caught the curiosity of one reader. As a result, here is more about it.
This is actually a reading passage that goes behind the scenes to look at the actors and actresses who play these villainous roles.
Margaret Hamilton, the witch from The Wizard of Oz, was probably the kindest woman whoever lived! My story highlights her as a "Nice villain."
Alan Rickman, who played a pseudo villain in the Harry Potter films and a definite villain in Die Hard, was always a favorite among his coworkers due to his kind demeanor.
So this is what I am refering to by the term "Nice villains."
So if you are interested, check out my reading comprehension passage and questions about villains on TpT.
