#MM: Growing Up With Musicals

Today's theme contains two good topics with a choice. I've decided to include one of each.

First up is a song about growing up, which is quite relatable in this day and age. Make sure you go spend some time with your kids. Here's Harry Chapin and "Cat's in the Cradle."

Next, it's time for the musical number. This is tough because I love all musicals. I could spend a month on this topic. Here's "I Cain't Say No" from Oklahoma.

Come join Music Monday and share your songs with us. Rules are simple. Leave ONLY the ACTUAL LINK POST here and grab the code below and place it at your blog entry. You can grab this code at LadyJava’s Lounge Please note these links are STRICTLY for Music Monday participants only. All others will be deleted without prejudice.

PS: Because of spamming purposes, the linky will be closed on Thursday of each week at midnight, Malaysian Time. Thank you!

Two really great choices. I was gutted when Harry Chapin was killed. I was a huge fan.

I like most musicals. The first song is very powerful, and you hate to see it come to pass in real life, but it often does.

Cats in the Cradle use to be one of my favorites... Oklahoma is a favorite musical of mine & my mom's . That plot is a little strange though don't you think? I mean beautiful songs, funny songs etc and then this mysterious weirdo man jumps in. Totally strange like black and white. Oh well. Cute tune. Have a great week!

I worked for a guy who had to take a day off work when Harry Chapin died, he was so distraught. I liked his first album, but "Sniper and Other Love Songs" put me off of him.
