Soccer Mom

Years ago, I spent many evenings and several weekends on the side of soccer fields watching my son play. On a visit to Nashville, I revived my soccer mom roll by attending a
Victorious Secret Game. The players have changed quite a bit as well as the climate of the game. My son's team grabbed any pink shirt as they held back to keep from showing up their less skilled opponents. A highlight of the game came when a player tried to kick a ball into goal, but instead, the defender kneed the ball back at him.

"My nuts! He got me in the nuts!" The young man hollered.

So at the end of the game, I did what any soccer mom would do. I asked him, "How are your nuts?"

He went into more details than I needed to know about his nuts, which are fine.

Final score: Victorious Secrets 4 / Other team 1

Beautiful mom to go with the kid while they play match. It will be an extra energy for the kids.

Need to be bit careful while playing.

That is probably a standardized move in soccer. OW! Poor guy.

These kids were quite old. Although my son is only 25, he has a 32 year old "kid" on his team. Maturity of players has changed the climate from that "must win" mentality to a "let's mess around and have fun" one. In fact, the goalie, who is normally a field player, left the goal open and scored.

It wasn't a move. It's what happens when skilled players play unskilled players. The opponents couldn't control the ball. That's why the team is not playing in the Division I rec. league. Those unskilled players are serious about wanting to win and a lot of people get injured that way. He plays in another league where all of the players know what they are doing making the competition steep but the injuries less often. These guys really shouldn't be playing in this league at all.

Poor guy! Know you were probably embarrassed by his overly zealous description of how he felt. :)
Blessings!
