#MM The Sixties and Seventies

This week's theme on Monday Music Moves Me
is Music from the Sixties and Seventies.
This should be a fun walk down memory lane.

1960s
Here's a fun one that was released in November, 1968. I remember sitting in the elementary school gym waiting for an assembly to start. The teachers played some music while we waited, and this one cracked us up. It's got to be one of the stupidest songs ever written. Plus, I love the great clothes! Check out this groovy tune. "I Love My Shirt," by Trev and Simon.

1970s
My mom told me this one was about getting ice cream. I was old enough not to believe her. Afternoon Delight by Starland Vocal Band came out in 1976.

Jord Wooden Watch Giveaway
And finally, stayed tuned to my blog because I am going to be giving away a beautiful Jord watch real soon. Here's one of my favorite songs about time from Chicago, "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" It was released in 1969.

Thank you for "Afternoon Delight" now being lodged in my perfect brain for the rest of the afternoon, and probably evening, as well. ;)

Wait, you mean it's not about ice cream??

It's always the right time for Afternoon Delight! LOL

I think I know a couple of guys who could make that tshirt song their theme song - I swear they are still wearing shirts from university days.

I like your posting and it is always very nice to have those nostalgic moments, I was thinking about the ice cream, like our great friend Binky and hoping that there was going to be some for breakfast.

Yes a little early but if it is a chocolate ice cream then I think it is okay, especially having just visited Wombania :)

Happy Tuesday Joyce...

Yeah, I was old enough to know that Afternoon Delight had NOTHING to do with ice cream. Of course, I would have preferred ice cream to this innuendo in those days. lol Congrats on being this week's Spotlight Dancer! ;)
