Monday Music Moves Me and The Moon

Monday is a 94% eclipse in Memphis. While it is tempting to drive a little over two hours to Cape Giradeau, Missouri to see 100%, I've decided to stay in Memphis and join the watch party at Shelby Farms.

Just in case of the rare possibility that you have not heard this song recently, here vis Bonnie Tyler with "Total Eclipse of the Heart."

Keeping with a lunar theme, here is Cat Stevens with "Moon Shadow."

And although this wonderful song is not about the moon, the group's name is Walk The Moon, so here is "Shut up and Dance with Me."

Great choices for songs, and yes, you may want to stay right where you are. Places in the totality path are going to be very overcrowded.

Love the list! This inspires me to put something like that together. :) I'm in Portland, Oregon and have to work that day (and couldn't take the day off!) We're close to the path of totality (99.7%) but not quite so I can enjoy it from the window I guess. :)

Fantastic! How appropriate! I never thought of doing that. So clever! My favorite tune is "Total Eclipse"... I think I'll play that again in the morning and turn it up a little! hehehe Goodnight sweetie! hugs

Very clever list! And I agree, stay home and enjoy it from your backyard, but be sure and protect your eyes. Me, I'll probably watch Time magazine's live stream...

Those are pretty appropriate songs for today. But someone needs to write a solar eclipse song.

Joyce,

DH & I made a special trip south of Knoxville to enjoy 2mins 30secs of totality. It was an amazingly, awesome experience and well worth fighting the horrific traffic coming home. I loved your theme! What a great way to enjoy this event with mewsic to fit the occasion! Thanks for sharing the dance floor with the 4M crew!

Moonshadow - why didn't I think of that?? I hope you had a good party ah, if only I only had a two hour trip to make - I think you did make the right decision, especially considering the weather report. Shut Up and Dance with Me - a first time listen for me - is this ever catchy. Movin' and groovin to that beat! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
