I successfully recorded about five dances, and my teacher sent me four videos of her dancing to numbers. Nine clips does not an hour class make, so I searched the internet for songs I could dance to. Now, I'm able to exercise for at least a short time most mornings and even a full hour on some days. Although I miss the class, I find I'm doing Zumba MORE since my class ended.
I do not feel privileged to share Samantha's tapes or what I recorded, but here are the jewels I've found on Youtube. As a blog visitor, you may not sit and watch. Rather, I am requesting that you get on your feet and join me in the dances. I put my computer on the full screen and follow as best I can. If you mess up a dance, that's fine as long as you're moving. It's pretty fun! It has to be to keep me going strong.
For a warm up, I dance to either this one, one of Samantha's clips, or Meghan Trainor's "Me Too." I'm not posting "Me, Too" because I posted it last week.
I love this one because Vijaya is easier to follow than many of these online Zumba instructors. This was a dance I did not know at all before I found her and it has become one of my regular dances.
Next up, please join me in "Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo. This was one of the ones we danced to in class, but I didn't get it on tape, so I was glad to find the song online. The ladies don't do it exactly as I did, but it's close enough to make me happy.
Next up, is "Can't Stop the Feeling," by Justin Timberlake. The instructor, The Fitness Marshall, talks a little too much at the beginning of his dances, but I like him because he explains what we're supposed to do. He is also the leader for my Meghan Trainor song. He leads a lot of dances on the web, so when I get bored with what I have, I'll go looking for more of his dances. This one was also not done in my dance class, but I still like it. "Me Too" was part of my class.
Next up is a really silly one. I felt goofy dancing this one in class, and I still feel goofy dancing it in front of my dogs. The version in class was better, but this one still gets me moving, so let's get you going, too. Do you know what to do with that big, fat butt? Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
I have plenty more, but I'm just going to post one of my favorites before the cool down. We did this one in class, but it was new, and I never felt like I had the steps down pat. I know it's not exactly how we danced it, but it has a lot of the same moves, and I love the tune. I usually move the dial past the talking or make my bed at the beginning of the video. Check this out!
And finally, I found a cool down I like, even if it's not the one we did in class. I love Bruno Mars.

Zumba is what taught me to not hate exercise, i would love to be able to take a class again. Thank you for these, i hadn't thought about looking for dances to do at home.

I love Zumba! I own a handful of these dance videos which I highly recommend if you don't have any. I haven't used mine in a few years but I'm thinking they are about 45-60 minutes in length. I hate hearing that your class ended. What a bummer! I enjoyed watching and listening to the mewsic. You got me wanting to pull out my exercise vids again but there just isn't room in my living room anymore with the elliptical. I can't wait until we move into a bigger place! I ate a box of chocolates as I watched them dance. That was enough work for me.
Oh wow, before I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis I went to Zumba classes at our health club and they were sooooooooooooooooooo fun! I keep telling myself I'm going to figure out something I can do at home... and I just don't remember to do it or something else comes up, but his was really fun to watch. I'd love to do it, but my sciatica is acting up and laying on a pinched nerve. Total bummer, but I do like to watch this... totally cool! Thanks for sharing!
I wish the one Zumba class I went to would've been like these videos because I might've been able to keep up. The one class I took had an instructor that was out of control! It was way too fast and too much ankle work for me. I'd never be able to do it now having a permanently unfused ankle so that's out but that one class ruined the whole Zumba thing for me. I was excited about it and after that class I was like, No way! My friend who had invited me said that the instructor was a sub and was doing advanced class stuff and she didn't even like it. She said "Come back when the regular instructor is here." I said, "Nah, I'll stick with Billy Blanks and my Taebo tapes." Now those I LOVE! I need to get those out again...
It was fun watching these videos that you posted. Made Zumba look not so intimidating like that first and only class I took... :)

I took water zumba classes for several years at our local Y, where I was introduced to some neat music and moves - and I wish I could locate many of those songs. I quit the class because I needed some dental surgery and thought I would be "right back" but I had some complications and never did go back. It's four years now so I doubt I can locate that instructor and the music she played back then. You really do need the right class, like with other forms of group exercise. Sorry your class ended but that's cool that you are working out even more any way!! I watched all of the clips. I tried to get my daughter to Zumba with me years ago but she wouldn't. Now she's off at college so if I'm ever going to do it, it's going to have to be on my own, lol
