Songs About Remembering or Forgetting

How ironic to have a theme of remembering and forgetting since I keep forgetting to post! I'm in Nashville for a quick trip, so it's not surprising that the blog would be forgotten. First up, Simple Minds, "Don't Forget About Me" with scenes from The Breakfast Club.

Next up, do you remember September? Earth, Wind & Fire sing September during a scene at Night of the Museum. I love movies!

Finally, this is not music, but it's pretty fun!

The Simple Minds song is so classic. Thanks for sharing it. Love it.

A couple of good songs here, and I like the Chicago connection in both. EW&F is from Chicago and "The Breakfast Club" was filmd in the northern suburbs. Not much of a Kimmel fan, though... Great set nonetheless!

Luckily I no longer remember what I've forgotten.

Thanks for including that last video, it was hilarious - although I wonder if it could get his brother in trouble.

Joyce,

Simple Minds "Don't You Forgot About Me" has popped up on a number of people's featured choices, including mine. I guess I'm in the company of some great minds this week, eh? The "Night at the Museum" films are such fun. I wonder if they'll do another even though Robin Williams is no longer with us? I enjoyed the Jimmy Kimmel clip. That was a great story Rami Malek shared of his fun twin antics. I went to school with two sets of twins. One set (boys) were identical which took me the whole school year to figure out which one was which and the other set (girls) were not identical so there was no confusion there. The boys were forever playing pranks on teachers and students. What a mischievous pair they were! :D Thanks for sharing the dance floor with us this week, my friend!

The Breakfast Club is certainly memorable! Looks like quite a few of us used this tune in our setlists this week. No worries though - it's a good one!

Love that Simple Minds song! I used it too. It's just that great of a song that most of us are using it. Says something about the song and its longevity!
The Earth Wind & Fire (always loved that band name!) song September is great but I never saw The Night in the Museum. There's more than one? I guess I should try to find it on Netflix or Hulu or Roku...I can't keep up with all these streaming choices!
LOVED the Jimmy Kimmel video. That was some funny stuff about the twins impersonating each other. I love Jimmy Kimmel anyway. He and Stephen Colbert are my favs. I'm glad you included that JK video because I missed that episode.
Have a great weekend,
