Never Forget
Where were you the moment you learned about the Twin Towers?
I was getting dressed for work and hubby was in the shower. At first I thought it wasn't real and then I knew it was. I went into the bathroom to tell hubby what happened. We were in shock.
I was getting the children ready for mother's day out and my husband called from work in a panic.
It wasn't easy, but I kept calm for the children and took them to MDO, where the teachers and other parents did a marvelous job of making sure the children had as normal as day as possible.
No matter where you are in the world, the events of 9/11 will never be forgotten. It was a day that left a lasting impact on all of us, and it will remain in our memories forever.
I was on my way back home when I heard it in my car. I hurried home and switched on the TV. This year we didn't hear very much from this day as it happened nearly on the same day as the earthquake in Morocco probably making 5000 victims.
I was working at the college at the time and had combined lunch and break times to be able to take an early class there too. I was in the class. The teacher kept teaching and refused to believe anything was going on. I was one of the many who walked out. I remember having an intense need to get all of my children in one place next to me, very quickly. It was such a surreal experience. And very profoundly sad.

Doesn't seem like it was over 20 years ago.
