Female Artists of the Sixties Through Eighties

This week's theme is female artists of the sixties through the eighties, which was hard to narrow down with so many great songs and artists. I like to keep my posts short.

Speaking of females artist of that era, did I ever tell you about the time I didn't see Diana Ross? I was in the Bermuda airport when I noticed everyone looking my way but didn't know why. Later, I learned that she was directly behind me. Dang! If only I would have stopped and turned around.

Let's start with Jefferson Starship's Gracie Slick. I saw her perform when in college.

And, here's one of my faves by Sylvia. I sometimes catch myself singing this tune, even though my husband hasn't given me a reason to.

Love Jefferson Airplane - and love that song! Love the Sylvia one, too - I'm with Shelly, sing to your hubby! ;) I had a Blonde Moment and missed the female part of this week's theme...but at least the bands chosen have 'girl' hair! >;o)~

Have a great week! :)

Fab choices (damn couldn't say fab choice Joyce this week)

It's a shame the queue wasn't held up she would have belted "You Keep Me Hangin' On" you would have soon noticed her. ;-)

Have a oldietastic week ;-)

Oh that's rich ~ Diana Ross was standing behind you! I would have felt a wee bit self conscience if everyone in the airport was staring my way and not know what the big deal was. LOL But, you know I would have that kind of luck in missing out on an opportunity to seeing someone really cool.

Jefferson Airplane ~ awesome! I haven't heard Nobody in forever. What a great walk down memory lane with that oldie. Great to share the dance floor with you this morning. Keep that music alive! ;-)

Huge time period for women. Good choices. And OMG, I didn't see Diana Ross either - and I almost walked smack into her in LA. My cousin told me right after the near incident.

Diana Ross was behind you and you did not know it! Oh man, that had to been frustrating when you found out. But, it is pretty cool at the same time too. Great song choices. Have a terrific day!
