I'm talking about CampusBookRentals.com, and their fairly new program Rent Back Books. RentBack is a new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own - to other students... which is awesome because it makes them 2-4x more money compared to what they'd make through buyback options.
Here's a clip to show you how book rentals work:
Here are some perks:
-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-they donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented
Operation Smile is a wonderful program that provides crucial surgery to repair cleft lip, cleft palate, or other facial deformities for chilldren around the globe.
Every time you rent a book from CampusBookRentals.com, a donation will be made to help a child get a smile. What could be better than that?
So what are you waiting for? Check out CampusBookRentals.com and www.RentBack.com.

Thank you for the information! The textbook rental place across from the junior college here closed, and Amazon is okay, but instructions for returning the books are so complicated my daughter missed the cut off. A company with such compassion at its core sounds like a fabulous alternative!
When I first went to college I remember being so taken aback by the price of textbooks. And it's only gotten worse. I work at a college now and I always encourage the students I counsel on ways to save $ on textbooks. Renting them has become very popular!
That sounds like a great idea for college students! Have a terrific weekend.
It's a good idea and I'd try it if I was going to college. I wonder if they have any courses on chocolate?
Great idea. I was shocked at the price of high school books, I hadn't even thought about what is coming my way.
I recently rented a text on my Kindle. I thought I would hate it but we used the book so little I ended up loving it. And there was not a return to do.
Hubby rents (hard copy textbooks) and he likes to rent too.
