#MM Live At The Garden

I am thrilled to be this week's spotlight dancer and to take you to the concert we attended Saturday night. Sorry I can't share the delicious picnic basket, but I'll give you a taste of the music we heard.

Monday Music Moves Me is into male rock 'n roll or country stars this week, so I'm featuring the bands we just heard.

First up, we enjoyed The Plain White Ts. They were a special treat that didn't even get their name printed on the ticket. Quite an under appreciated band who had a fabulous stage presence.

Next up came Daughtry, who we really couldn't see because two rude women blocked our view and refused to sit down throughout the entire performance, even though five different people contacted event staff. When I asked nicely, the beotch said, "I can do what I want." Selfish, but I believe karma will get her back.

Before the Goo Goo Dolls took stage, event staff had a long chat with the women––who stayed seated throughout most of the performance. Of course, it didn't matter to us because we moved seats along with four other frustrated people.

As the spotlight dancer, I get to pick the theme in two weeks. I've chosen a great one for me here in Memphis and anyone else from a musical place. If it's tough for you, feel free to reach a little outside your borders as I present two requests: Tell us where you are from, and post your hometown bands, artists, or songs.

Come join Music Monday and share your songs with us. Rules are simple. Leave ONLY the ACTUAL LINK POST here and grab the code below and place it at your blog entry. You can grab this code at LadyJava’s Lounge Please note these links are STRICTLY for Music Monday participants only. All others will be deleted without prejudice.

PS: Because of spamming purposes, the linky will be closed on Thursday of each week at midnight, Malaysian Time. Thank you!

I love your choices -- hope you had a good time.

BTW, in New Jersey the schools don't start summer break until mid-to-late June (one year I was in school until June 25th!)

The kids don't go back to school until September! I'm seeing lots of smiling kids around here!

A big congratulations! on being this weeks Spotlight Dancer :-)

I enjoyed these Joyce and can understand why you enjoyed the concert, I absolutely love The Goo Goo Dolls Iris

Blimey! there is always one isn't there, I do not understand why people go to these places to have a good time but think nothing about spoiling it for others.

Have a googootastic week Joyce ;-)

It sounds like you had some great entertainment rolled into one event. Too bad you had a bad experience with two rude women. What you should have done is put a note on their backsides (would not have been the wiser) while they were being jerks blocking everyone's view, which reads, "I'm a moron. Just point & laugh at me to humiliate me into changing my ways quick or if that doesn't work, kick me in the britches." Okay...maybe it's a good thing you didn't have your pen & paper ready to attach to said rudey pants women, but you gotta admit that would be pretty funny to do. Congrats on being this week's Spotlight Dancer. Have a songtastic week, Joyce!

Oh love the Plain White Ts!!!!
awesome selection.

And how Rude!! I hate people like that - they just ruin the event for everyone else who ALSO paid to see the show.

Goo Goo Dolls would be awesome in concert I imagine.

OOOOOOOO GIRL, you are so luck I was not with you! I'm bad when people are rude. It's one of my pet peeves. Were they young? I would have definitely retaliated I'm afraid like pour coke on their seats for when they sit down. MY BAD! ~SNICKER~ But woo hoo you actually got to see him that's fab... Luvin' your choices in your Spotlight!!! SHAKE THAT THANG MAMA!!! CONGRATS CONGRATS!!! YOU ROCK

Great music this week Joyce. SOrry about the rudeness. I would have been a bit ticked off.

Anyway, congrats on the Spotlight too.

Carry on...

Sorry for the late comment. That must have been a great concert! Those are all such good bands. As for those rude women, unfortunately that's a common problem.
