Wordless Wednesday: Potato Salad & Men with Plungers

(Wednesday comes earlier and earlier every week. Okay, I'll join your hops!)

I make a mean potato salad.

After my last post declaring me as a foodie blog, here is a recipe from my cookbook.

I'm not kidding about the man with the plunger. I clog up the sink every darn time I make this dish.

Sorry ladies, this man with a plunger is mine!

Tip for Joyce
Get the potato salad ready made from the shop...no plunger required :-)

My WW was up hours earlier than my normal time too must be the weather LOL

Thanks for stopping by hope you enjoyed your potato salad ;-)

Store bought never tastes as good as mine. Seriously! I think it's the Dijon mustard that makes it so good.

Looks like a great recipe!

Funny, we usually recycle our potato peel for gardening.

Rhonda said...

Looks yummy. Why not compost the potato peel?

That's hilarious! I've never had to use a plunger after making my potato salad! I bet your husband loves it everytime you make it. LOL!

I try many new recipes each week, but have never once made potato salad. Going to have to give it a try sometime, but per your advice, will make sure hubby is on standby with the plunger!

Omgosh that's so funny! I love your recipe title, and the addition of "man with plunger" lol. The pics pretty silly too :)

YEP I hardly use the disposal any more. I have a screen that catches just about everything. I know what's the point of having a disposal? Well I kept clogging the sink up.

You know, I've never had a garbage disposal. I just fed things like that to the chickens. I do love that second shot!

Potato salad & men with plungers...I never thought of the two combined...

At the risk of raining on your parade: why peel the potatoes at all? I've had some really delicious potato salads in which the potatoes weren't peeled--not a one...

Not peeling them would give your man with a plunger a vacation, & the leisure to eat his potato salad... ;-)

Catch My Words said...

Yeah. Us really good chefs don't measure anything. ;)

iMaddy said...

I would try it, but I don't want to clog the sink.

Anonymous said...

I love potato salad. I don't have the patience to make it...I'm not a cook or much of a plumber. ;)

BusyWorkingMama said...

Haha, I remember making that mistake once. It was enough of a pain to ensure I never clogged it again!

Dear Joyce,
Sounds like a delish! potato salad for the warm weather picnics.
It is nice to have your "handy man" close by when needed for such emergencies! Blessings dear. Catherine

Hilarious. I learned to keep the peels in a bag and out of the disposal. Sounds like a good one, though, never tried the Dijon.
