#AtoZ: F - Favorite Son

Happy birthday to Daniel, my favorite son.

Listen up, ladies. Have I got the guy for you. He's smart, good looking, and single. Since today is my son's twenty-fifth birthday, it's time to find him a wife. Don't get me wrong, it's not like he's a pathetic loser who's short on women, he has plenty of dates. They just aren't my type.

Daniel likes Barbie dolls--beautiful, blonde, high-healed women who are definitely not kosher. I think this obsession with Barbies started in preschool when he played with his sisters' dolls in the bathtub. He'd grab them by the waist and fly them through the air while making airplane noises. In the end, the poor Barbies would crash into the wall and maybe lose their empty heads. Don't worry, ladies. He's always a gentleman with living women.

Anyway, my son needs a nice Jewish girl with a kind heart, intelligence, and an excellent sense of humor. She'd have to have one to fit into our family. Plus, liberal wouldn't hurt! Send me your resume, that is if I'm still alive after posting letter F, which also stands for Mom FAIL.

I think this kid just might have my sense of humor too. Plus, he has...

Strong muscles,
a winning smile,
and a big brain.

Hilarious! Does you son know you are advertising for a wife for him? I don't know any single, Jewish girls for him I'm afraid. If I meet any, I will send them your way.

Wonderful funny ... and great. Your son is a very handsome man ... so let him have fun with the long legged blonde barbies, we will never marry one of them ... he will marry a redhead - I bet. If she will be Jewish, I can't promise anything.
I like ... where I landed. Love you humor.

Would the tall Barbie doll shape and brilliant mind (that she got from her mother, of course) be okay? Of course, she's just turned 29 and she's Italian/American LDS, but she's a good match. By the way, I'm not really a matchmaker by nature, but I WANT GRANDCHILDREN!

LOL - I'll be back to read Daniel's comment. I loved this post, you are hilarious, but it might be the Mom-fail. My favorite photo was the big brain.

This was so funny. Boy, are you in trouble now! If I did this for my younger son, he'd flip. Haha!

Hah! This made me laugh. I do hope he brings home a nice, non-high-heeled Jewish girl for you...and I also hope he doesn't fly her into a wall and knock her head off. :-) Cute post.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! I hope you'll drop by again soon!

Fun post to read, Joyce! Your Daniel is quite handsome. Don't worry, Joyce - he's going to find that nice Jewish girl and she and her mother-in-law are gonna' get along just fine! Don't our sons realize that we know just what kind of girl is going to make them happy!

Oh my goodness, this is hysterical! He must have a good sense of humor to take mom posting this! He's very handsome, indeed. I doubt you'll have any trouble finding him a girl who'll be interested.

Sorry, my daughter is only 14, and not Jewish, and ultraconservative. Other than that, I think they'd be perfect for each other.

He's handsome too. :)

My son is 25 and married to a woman who is the complete opposite of everything I would have wished for...and we love her anyway. She's perfect for him, and vice versa. :)

My 20-yr. old is dating a nice Jewish girl down there in Florida. I haven't met her yet, but he's been talking about her here and there, and he never does that...and he celebrated her holidays with her recently. I sense a romance in the making.

Maybe something's in the air. :)

P.S. Be careful what you wish for, buwahahha

Well, this made my evening. I wish you luck in snagging the daughter-in-law of your dreams, or at least one you can be happy with. If your son can be happy with her, too, that will definitely be a bonus. :)

Love your style--I'm following you now via Networked Blogs. Looking forward to more of your posts.

Oh to be a mom! We all have this to "go through", when our children "date" girls/boys we don't "click" with! My son is 26 and I'm glad he's not yet with someone. I'm still getting over the girl he dated for four years in college! My daughter is 22 and has found "the one" she thinks. I like him, just wish he liked US, the parents, more! Oh well, we just have to trust our kids and hope for the best!!! Love the post, happy a to z blogging!

This is why boys shouldn't play with Barbies.
