We left our jar of sunflower seeds on our kitchen countertop with the lid securely fastened; however, when we got home, we found the jar empty.
The teeth-mark covered lid was close to the empty jar.
We have three suspects to this crime.
Suspect #1. Honey Bear
Honey Bear |
Our four year old golden retriever who has never done anything wrong in our years together.
HB's Chompers |
Suspect #2 Millie
Silly Millie |
Although six year old Millie likes to chew, she is a bit vertically challenged when it comes to countertops.
Millie's Chompers |
The red top did not fit in Millie's little mouth.
Suspect #3. Ruby (The Logo Dog)
Five-year-old Ruby has a long history of multiple crimes. Her favorite chew toys consist of underwear and Millie. This crazy granddog came to stay with us last month because her master is in the process of moving to Nashville. When the dogs were asked about the crime, Ruby was the lone ducker.

So I ask you Dear Readers, who done it?

Well, better a dog than a rat. Who ate ll our apples.
My guess Millie. It's usually the innocent sweet looking ones that do some damage. HA HA
It's a toss between Honey Bear and Ruby.
Hugs,
Shelly
LOL!
I can almost hear the Law & Order theme playing...
Ruby! Just look at that face lol :)
Happy WW!

Great post!!! My bet is you'll find out tomorrow when the 'poop' hits the fan, so to speak.... LOL.
Thanks for hosting and have a great week.
or another suspect... they had friends over while you was out and one of the doggie friends have a baseball player for their master... and poor Rudy was only trying to stop the friends from getting your sunflower seeds and pulled so hard her teeth with though the lid.... :)
I hope you gave them a breathalyzer test to see who smelled of sunflower seeds.
LOL! It seems as if it was Ruby but she may be innocent!
Hahaha, I am laughing so hard!
Oh noes!!! awfully cute suspects you have though! ;)
LOL I blame RUBY!!
Great post that made me LOL.
Ha ha ha, I am definitely going to go with Ruby! My dog ducks instantly if you spot something she;s chewed that she knows she shouldn't chew!
I blame the neighbors dog. Yours look too sweet to do something so naughty :)
haha, the evidence is against him. Guilty! NCIS would be proud.
LOL It sounds like you already know! hehe ;)
finally, I can say without a doubt..it wasn't one of my kids!
lol Absolutely hysterical!! I love how you broke down the teeth and to even have an xray? Awesome!! I'm going with suspect #3!
Is there a cat in the neighbourhood? I'm pretty sure the dogs will back me up it's the cat.

My guess is Honey Bear, lol!
love this post. I'm with mood writing on who did it, giggle. Hopping over from WW to leave a Hug on your sweet blog
hahahaha....me too, i love this post!
Hahahaha!!! I love dogs, they're all innocent!
Oh what a fun post! Love it. I must say, circumstances seem to point to Ruby.
Our little Pekingese/ Pomeranian mix dog and my daughter's Husky both love chewing up undies. I can't tell you how many pair of Victoria's Secret undies have been chewed by the dogs. The little one will even pull them through the hole in the side of the clothes basket. I had to buy a solid hamper and keep the baskets out of dog reach when undies are in them. Dogs!!
Wow- I don't think I have ever heard of a dog chewing open a jar of peanuts- that just floors me!
Whoever did it is pretty clever. My cat got into leftover cornbread I was saving for the birds and left it crumbled all over the living room carpet.
Sounds like a job for CSI. I have no idea -- all of the toofies look pretty clean to me. :)
Hmmmmmmmmm, do you have a hummingbird? :)
