Wordless Wednesday: Sleep

We found body products to help one sleep at the
Bath and Body Works store.

It worked too well because when I spritzed some on,
I instantly fell asleep.

Erica had the same problem, so we called
the sales lady over . . .

but she fell asleep too.

Wordless Wednesday: Objective Met

It was hard to think of these frames as being
complete when we bought them back in 1993.

Wordless Wednesday: Halloween of the Past!

When you dress up your kiddos for
Halloween, make sure you take pictures.

Halloween, circa 1994

Here's a fun photo that's been circulating the internet for awhile.

Here's one I just saw this year.
Don't forget to enter my Halloween Dog Costume contest for the chance to win a $25 Target gift card.
You have until November 1.

Wordless Wednesday Meets #GBE2: The Bathroom

Beth gave us the prompt of "The Bathroom" this week; so when I heard the shower water running, I snuck in and took pictures.

Honey Bear in the Shower

Millie Takes a Shower

Yes, it's true. The dogs got in the shower and cleaned themselves up after the dog park. They were even singing Who Let the Dogs Out. They got the "Woof! Woof!" part down pat.

Wordless Wednesday: Sign

With the doctors having a better lot, who else is going to park here? Nothing else is around. The sign must be to stop those trying to exercise by hiking two blocks to the shopping center rather than park in that free lot. If people work out, they might get better and not need doctors. Selfish jerks!

Note to the humor impaired: I'm kidding!

Wordless Wednesday: Cousin Katie's Super Heroes

My cousin Katie's baby is Spiderman.

She is expecting baby #2.

 Will it be:

a boy?

or

a girl?

Either way, the baby will be super!

Wordless Wednesday: Red Team Captain

Hooray for my energetic daughter who led her team to the jaws of defeat in her recent camp color wars!

Grrrr!

Thumbs up if you love El Captain!

Where were the male counselors who promised to show up for tug of war?

Wait until next year when the red will rise again.

It took me awhile, but I finally figured out how to do the linky thingy, so link up!

Wordless Wednesday: Potato Salad & Men with Plungers

(Wednesday comes earlier and earlier every week. Okay, I'll join your hops!)

I make a mean potato salad.

After my last post declaring me as a foodie blog, here is a recipe from my cookbook.

I'm not kidding about the man with the plunger. I clog up the sink every darn time I make this dish.

Sorry ladies, this man with a plunger is mine!

Wordless Wednesday: Surgery

On June 7, I had a hysterectomy and hospital stay.

I was in that bathroom every 1-2 hours thanks to a drippy IV.

The nurses kept a board with medical notes. When they wrote morning blood test, I threatened to erase the red pen.

To keep from getting pneumonia, I had to do regular breathing exercises. Keep the blue ball bobbing. I messed up by leaving the torture device at the hospital--feeling raspy.

 I received beautiful flowers.

I'm home, but our power had been off for a full day. We just got it back.

#Wordless Wednesday Meets #AtoZ : "Oh, no!"

Here's why I don't automatically kiss boo boos:

Judy and me - 1991

My little girl darted to me while crying, "My Finger."

Without question, I kissed it--to which she said, "I pee peed on my finger."

Wordless Wednesday: Purim in Israel

Purim is a time when Jews dress up in costumes just like many do on Halloween. The black hatters are wearing their traditional garb as they meet their modern day counterpart.

Thanks to Sally Rosenberg for the photo.
